A 1976 Yucca Valley Home, Rebuilt Down to the Studs

A full rebuild of a 1976 Yucca Valley bungalow, stripped to the studs

The Desert Gold Bungalow, at 59149 Desert Gold Drive in Yucca Valley, is one of DezResto's full restorations: a 1976 bungalow rebuilt down to the studs. See the full project page for photos and specifications.

What the rebuild involved

This wasn't a cosmetic refresh. The bungalow was stripped to the studs, and new plumbing, electrical, roof, sheetrock, and stucco went in, along with polished concrete floors throughout. The layout was reconfigured into a 1-bed, 1-bath desert retreat.

Why a full rebuild

Older High Desert homes like this one, built in 1976, often need everything behind the walls replaced before they're livable long-term, not just a fresh coat of paint. Doing the plumbing, electrical, and roof at the same time as the cosmetic work is more disruptive up front but avoids re-opening finished walls later.

Where it stands now

The Desert Gold Bungalow is a completed restoration. If a similar project, or the property itself, is of interest, see DezResto's restored desert homes for sale or the full project page for current status.
