A 624 sq ft cabin rebuilt into a studio with a Lopi fireplace insert and a solar-powered gate, set on five open acres with views of Johnson Valley.
Desert View Retreat
Twentynine Palms, CA · four houses on 40 acres
A neglected fourplex brought back with polished concrete floors, granite counters, and dual-pane windows. It now operates as a writers' retreat.
Greasewood Lane
Yucca Valley, CA · Built 1967 · 480 sq ft
A garage acquired in 2023 and turned into a one-bath studio home on a 1.25-acre lot, minutes from Pioneertown, Joshua Tree, and Landers.
Navajo Trail
Joshua Tree, CA · Built 1990 · 4 bed, 2 bath
A 1990 home bought at auction and cleaned up inside and out for modern living, minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance.

2003 Airstream 30' SO
A 2003 Airstream 30' Sovereign rescued from a Riverside RV storage lot, repaired, run as a Pioneertown Airbnb, and then sold to a Bay Area enthusiast.
1948 Tourette Teardrop Trailer
The newest acquisition. Looking forward to diving into this project. Upgrades to include solar, venting with integrated LED lighting, custom interior, and modern sliding-screen door windows.
Luna Mesa Base Camp
A private room and bath on a 1950s cabin homestead — queen bed, semi-detached indoor/outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and Starlink internet. A true base camp for exploring Joshua Tree National Park, 10–15 minutes away.

Home restoration in Joshua Tree and the High Desert
DezResto provides Joshua Tree home restoration and works across Yucca Valley, Landers, Twentynine Palms, and the surrounding High Desert, restoring homes and cabins. Stephen also restores vintage trailers as personal projects; it isn't a service he generally offers to clients, but he is open to discussing possible projects. Most projects begin with a neglected or overlooked property and end with a home that is ready to live in, rent, or sell.
What a restoration involves
Our full restorations are typically stripped to the studs and rebuilt with new plumbing and electrical and polished concrete floors, as on the Desert Gold Bungalow in Yucca Valley and the Kickapoo Trail Cabin in Landers. Other projects are more targeted: a garage conversion into a studio home on Greasewood Lane, an auction-acquired remodel on Navajo Trail in Joshua Tree, and a multi-unit remodel of four houses on 40 acres in Twentynine Palms.
