Why We Built the Free Airbnb Stay Program
How the two-free-nights offer at Luna Mesa Base Camp came about
Touring homes in the Joshua Tree area often means an out-of-town buyer flying or driving in for a short trip. We built the free Airbnb stay program to help: qualified buyers can stay two free nights at Luna Mesa Base Camp, DezResto's own Airbnb in Yucca Valley, while touring properties with us.
The problem it solves
A house-hunting trip to the High Desert isn't like touring homes across town. Buyers are often coming from out of state, coordinating flights or a long drive, and paying for lodging on top of everything else. Luna Mesa Base Camp, a private room and bath on a 1950s cabin homestead 10 to 15 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, is a place we already operate as a working Airbnb, so offering it as part of a buyer's trip was a natural fit.
How it actually works
Airbnb requires every stay to be booked and paid through their platform, so we don't waive payment upfront. Instead, once a qualified buyer completes their stay and has toured at least four properties with us as agreed, we refund 100% of the Airbnb payment through Airbnb's Resolution Center.
Qualifying is straightforward: a pre-qualification letter from a lender (we can point you toward one if you don't have one yet), and a signed buyer representation agreement. There's no obligation to purchase anything — we just ask that you tour in good faith, with genuine interest in finding the right property.
Who it's for
The program is intended for buyers actively and seriously looking in Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, and the greater High Desert area. Full details, including the exact steps, are on the Free Airbnb Stay page.
